who is yon?
yon is an international street artist based in Venice Beach, California. He sees street art as a powerful medium to contribute to the energy of a city and the people in it.
Growing up, yon was constantly drawing. Life size drawings of ninja turtles and dinosaurs lined the walls of his childhood home.
His signature characters, homies, are wildly curious creatures that bring us back to a youthful energy and optimism. “I create street art to help people disconnect from their typical perspectives, thoughts and routines.“
Yon has shown his work at galleries in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, New York City and Bangkok. He has also painted public (outdoor) art across the US, Mexico City, Barcelona and Tokyo.
